Just upgraded to 6 and, to be hosent, I wish I had stayed at 5. This version is very slow to backup and I had to recreate all of my existing jobs as they kept failing when the current schedule kicked in. I use a physical blade with direct SAN access and I have yet to see these backup speeds go beyond what I usually get when I run network mode. This version also mis-detects my server as a 2 CPU server when it is a dual quad 8 core system. This physical server runs the SQL DB locally and is the only app running on this system which I have dedicated to Veeam so resources are not an issue. I have a ticket open but at this point I have to just let these initial backups seed and wait to let incrementals run which will hopefully be faster. If not, I'll have to rollback to 5. I like the WAN and replication features that are in this new version which I will be able to use between our DR site and here. But, I am not liking performance right now. It was a straight-forward upgrade with no issues .not sure why performance is now degraded.
