Default Expressions
Default expressions are the expressions included in the system and are classified according to which element the expression is associated. These default expressions will always appear when creating an expression and pressing cancel. There are different default expressions depending on what the user is trying to do:
- Default Expressions for Transition Condition ( step 4 in the Process Wizard)
- Default Expression for Performers ( step 5 in the Process Wizard)
- Default Expression in Visibility, editability and mandatory rules in the Forms Designer.
Default Expression for Transition Condition
The following is an example of how to assign a Default Expression for Transition Condition:
From the process wizard, click Define Expressions
Then click the transition you want to associate with a default rule.
A new window will open. You can create the expression or click cancel in order to select one expression previously created, or a default expression.
Default Expression for Performers
In the next example, it will be seen that the user will find Default Expressions when trying to Define Performers.
Then, click the activity in order to associate the performer, add a condition and select the expression
The user can deicide whether to create the expression or click cancel in order to select betweeen previously created expressions or Default Expressions.
In the next image, the list of the Default Expressions for performes is displayed.
CurrentAssignee will assign the activity to the user that performed the pervious task.
CurrentAssigneeBoss will assign the activity to the boss of the user that performed the last activity in the case. The boss should be previously configured in Bizagi.
CurrentAssigneeBoss_Level2 to CurrentAssigneeBoss_Level10, assign the activity to the boss of the user but in two or more superior levels in the enterprise hierarchy.
Case Creator will assign the case to the person that first worked on the case, making him the case creator.
Default Expression in Visibility, editability and mandatory rules in the Forms Designer
The user can find Default Expressions in different places in Bizagi. For example, when associating an expression to determine the visibility of a form field.
The user can create the expression or press cancel in order to select between previously created expressions or Default Expressions.
