Values in Grid Validations

Values in Grid Validations are not always required because they depend on the operator that precedes them. If required by the operator, the user will be able to type a number, select a field from the data model, or select a rule to determine the value to which the initial attribute name is going to be compared.

To include a constant, select the Type Number, Type Text or Type Date option (For dates, there is also an option to choose today’s date). The system will display the option depending on the type of field evaluated. To include an attribute, click on the Select Field option and the system will display a screen with the list of available attributes.

For attributes related to a parametric entity, you can also choose the value of the entry you want to compare it with. In this case, use the option: Select Entity Value.

Another option is to compare the value of the attribute with a business rule. In this case, click on Select Rule, and a window will pop up where you can click on the rule that gives you the value. These rules should always return a value in the proper format. If not an error message will be displayed in the web application on execution.
