Example: Add an On Save Action to an Activity

In a Loan Request process, the customer may be required to enter financial information that can be added automatically when the information in the activity is saved. The financial information in the Loan Request process is required to be added with an On Save Action in the activity Register Complimentary Information.



To include the On Save Action follow these steps:

1. In the Process Wizard, go to the Fourth Step: Activity Actions.

2. In the Process, select the Shape of the process where you would like the action to be carried out. A new window will be displayed. On the Activity Actions window, click on Image:Add_On_Enter_Image_05.png and then click on Image:Add_On_Enter_Image_06.png. Then select the type of action that is needed, for this example the option Expression should be selected.



3. In the Expression Selection window click on the New button or select the rule if it is already created.



4. The rule (selected or created) should look as follows:



The expression Add contains the following:



Press Ok in the rule and in the Actions tab to save the rule.


The rule used the following data model


This is how the result will look before the user saves the information.



This is how it will look after the information is saved.
